On Break!
The Studio A web shop is temporarily in “vacation” mode–Andrea is in Canada attending a pysanky egg retreat and furthering her studies of Ukrainian pysanky and Ukrainian folk art tradition. Her attendance at this retreat is supported by ArtsAVL, Bank of America, and the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. We apologize for any inconvenience but are excited to have the web shop open for you on August 15!
The studio/gallery location at 344 Depot St. is open for business.

Why Pysanky?
Pysanky is a Ukrainian folk art passed down through generations. For Andrea, the process is both a creative practice and a personal connection — to her family, her heritage, and a living cultural tradition.
Each line, color, and symbol carries meaning, reflecting themes of protection, strength, renewal, and connection to nature and spirit.
